KKPR Marketing & Public Relations Takes Home SAGE Award

Milford, PA (December 6, 2011) – On Friday, November 11th, 2011, the KKPR Marketing & Public Relations team won their first SAGE award at the Mellow Theater at Lackawanna College in Scranton, PA. The boutique agency won for best practices in marketing and communications. Katrina Foster, President & Founder of KKPR, was also a runner up for the Young Entrepreneur award.

The SAGE (Scranton Awards for Growth and Excellence) awards celebrate the outstanding efforts of the local business community and their talent, creativity, and innovation in a challenging business environment. The Greater Scranton Chamber of Commerce and MetroAction of Scranton have been recognizing the efforts and achievements of their business community for the last two years.

“It was truly a surprise and an honor to be recognized in the Scranton business community,” said Foster. “The other finalists were equally deserving and we were just happy to be a part of the whole evening, which was truly spectacular. The Greater Scranton Chamber of Commerce did an amazing job with the event, from start to finish.”

With more than 500 people in attendance, the KKPR team – including Sean Magee, Jody Welsh, Caitlan Vill and Katie Knapp – took the stage to accept the award presented by Frank Trembulak, Chief Operating Officer of Geisinger.

“KKPR’s hard work, innovative ideas and dedication to their community have made them a success in business,” said Austin Burke, President of The Greater Scranton Chamber of Commerce. “We were pleased to be able to recognize them with that award, along with all the other winners. They should be proud of the role they are playing in our region’s economic growth.”
