The Sullivan County Chamber of Commerce Foundation, Inc. is a nonprofit corporation organized inder the rules of Section 501c(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, is organized exclusively for scientific, educational, and charitable purposes.
The Foundation is designed to enhance the knowledge and workings of Sullivan County among individuals in business and to further enhance the programs or services of the Sullivan County Chamber of Commerce in regard to its scientific, educational and charitable purposes.

recruit and develop responsive leadership in
order to meet the challenges facing Sullivan County today, as well as in the future. Our

informed, dedicated citizens who have the ability and the desire to assume positions of leadership. The Leadership Sullivan program identifies
current and future community leaders and provides them with the background, contacts and
opportunity to grow.

Identify, motivate and develop community leaders.
Expand the leadership potential of participants through: educational programs designed to broaden individuals’ knowledge of Sullivan County and the issues affecting its citizens; exposure to existing leadership and civic organizations; in-depth discussions of relevant issues with experts.

Provide a channel for participants to gain access to leadership opportunities and become involved in the development of solutions for community problems.

Participation
Requirements...
Leadership Sullivan seeks individuals committed to the well-being of Sullivan County and interested in assuming greater responsibility for the future leadership of the community. Participants are selected on the basis of demonstrated leadership ability as well as evidence of community interest and commitment.
Nominations may be submitted by individuals, area businesses and community organizations. Individuals from all segments of the community are encouraged to apply.
Applications for the Class of 2008 are now available. To obtain an application, call the Sullivan County Chamber of Commerce office at 791-4200. Or stop by the office at 452 Broadway in Monticello to pick up an application form. Completed application forms from those nominated must be submitted by July 30. Applications will be reviewed by the Selection Committee and applicants will be notified in August. The opening retreat session will be scheduled in September.
Because each class is limited in size, only a portion of the applicants will be admitted each year. Those candidates not accepted are encouraged to re-apply in subsequent years.

Tuition of $400 covers fees, course materials, socials, orientation retreat and group transportation. Tuition is payable by the individual, the employer, or the sponsoring organization. Financial assistance is available for individuals on a limited basis. Sponsored in Part By:
